SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEW

Empowering Future Leaders

The Denver Chapter of AFWA awards several scholarships each August for the upcoming academic year.  As our organization grows, so does our ability to offer financial assistance to outstanding accounting/finance students.  Scholarships are available for Undergraduate and Graduate level students.  Please see below for the criteria and the application link for details.   The Denver Chapter has awarded substantial support for many years to deserving Colorado students, with individual scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $10,000.

Scholarship Criteria & Eligibility

Who is Eligible?

Open to students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting or Finance degree program at an accredited Colorado post-secondary institution. Applicants must have completed at least their sophomore year by the time of selection.

Selection Process

The Scholarship Committee evaluates candidates based on leadership, character, communication skills, scholastic average, and financial need. 

Submission Details

Application materials, including transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a personal goals statement, must be submitted by the annual deadline. Incomplete packets will not be considered. Awards are typically announced in the late spring.
